The new quarter-inch-wide Scalpel phone about half as thick as the Razr V3.Expected to be in stores across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia by next year, the Scalpel will sell cheap for around $40, according to an analyst briefed on the product.

That is ridiculously thin, I'd be scared of bending it in my pocket ! For $40 it must be a very basic phone, but it'd be great as a spare.

It would be very good if SE would start thinking about thin phones too!
Remember old R320?

but it should be small as wel as thin. The V3 is thin, but too long and wide for my liking.

Considering its cost, look and light weight this may have an attraction.

Yeah! I'm sure its gonna sell for $40! $400 more like. The only phone I know that sells for $40 is the sendo S330, and that has no technology in it.
