> Warning: DataViz Documents to Go Update
Bookmark topic
Reference:
DataViz has just released Documents To Go for Symbian UIQ v.2.001.
This update includes: • New Sheet To Go features - insert/delete rows and columns, insert new sheets, freeze/unfreeze panes, TrueType font support and new cell formatting options
• New Word To Go table viewing options
• Official support for Motorola A1000 & A925 devices
• Overall performance enhancements
• French and German language versions now available
A welcome upgrade but backup your P... first. It installs fine over the top of original version then asks if you want it to be dafault browser for Sheet & Word once you run those modules. If you selct yes it warns that you may need to restart phone to take affect.
On my P910i it restarts but looses all the shortcut buttons (flip open & flip closed), you can't then reasign default built-in apps. to the shortcut keys & also prevents uninstall of anything.
I'm currently doing a full Master reset & Full recovery to get my system back. It may be a conflict with MagicLauncher so I'm going to ;eave that off during the recovery prior to installing the Updated Documents To Go (need to get some old crap off my P anyway).

Update:
Every built in app.(Contacts, Control Panel, Phone etc.) can't be accessed so I can't even do a Master Reset!!!
May have to re-install firmware via update system.
As soon as I get my P working I'll be sending a major Arse-kicking email to Dataviz!!!

Update:
The Update installed fine on a "Virgin" P910i without anything else installed so it must be a conflict with another programme.
Reinstalled backup of Virgin System to get my P910i back.

Not yet. Got my P910i working again and I'm sure its a conflict with another Add-On app. most likely MagicLauncher but not fully tried out yet.
Just restoring back, will remove MagicLauncher then try DocumentsToGo Upgrade again.
As I said above, with a clean P910i it installed with no problem.
Again, would recommend a full backup prior to installing the Upgrade just in case.

Thanks for the heads up. I just finished downloading the upgrade and decided to visit Esato first. I'm running Magic Launcher as well, so I'm going to wait a bit before trying to upgrade.
Especially because my PC Suite doesn't work and the only backups I have are of data, made by Oxygen Phone Manager. Reinstalling everything would be a _major_ pain in the ass.
So... thanks.

Any news on this issue? Did anyone else try the upgrade?
I don't like to nag, but I'm really looking forward to the new formatting options in the spreadsheet. However, as I wrote, I would rather not risk freezing up my Pee: reinstalling without working backup software is going to be a PITA.

Did not have any other version before and I just installed 2.01, on my P900, without any problems. Absolutely none.

Since removing MagicLauncher I had no operation issues with my P910i but after having the new upgrade (which is excellent) I'm having to remove it as for some reason I get massive power drain with phone not even lasting a day (usually over 2 with my use).
Will be contacting DataViz regarding this. Would like to know if others have power drain issues.
Not tried reinstalling MagicLauncher after the DataViz upgrade as I don't have time to do another recovery again yet if needed.
