Just an interesting point - how come the SE suite requires the Outlook authorisation every time you run whereas the new nokia suite doesn't -it asks the first time and then never asks again?

AFAIK the demand for authorisation comes from Outlook itself, not from the SE suite.
If the SE and the Nokia use a different computer, Outlook on the SE-connected computer might have been set up differently. I know there's a little program or tweak to disable the question and allow access all the time.
It is mainly a spam-protective 'feature' in Outlook.

I don't think that's true. Nokia PC Suites use to ask for authorization as well. The new one does not. I'm guessing after Nokia licensed exchange server with Microsoft, they got access to Outlook Sync.
I think that SE just signed with Microsoft as well and maybe future sync programs don't need "permission". Maybe on the new P-series??
