Is it possible to reprogram the buttons on the side of the orange homescreen menus?

If not, is there another similar app (like the SE version, but not like it if you know what i mean!) to do the same that can be programmed?

All I want is to have a simple 6 -or-so apps on screen then the flip is opened.

Thanks!

Good idea!
I installed the SE Desktop, which replaced it okay, but then found that scroll wheeling across the other application shortcuts at the top no longer worked so I uninstalled it!

You can put the apps into a folder, use the top right selection on menu bar (prob says 'all') and the bottom label on menu is 'edit folders' - put your desired apps in a folder and select that folder to show when you open flip...

Hope that is what you mean...

Cheers

@ pikey100
I know what you mean, the orange homescreen is a pain in the ass. The only working solution I know of is to buy Tracker4, customise the desktop with whichever programs you want and set "start Tracker" as the flip-open event in Tracker's settings. This is what I did for a while but I'm sure there is some kind of conflict with both tracker and the cr4ppy orange homescreen trying to start when you open the flip. I ended up getting too frustrated and resigning myself to having to tap the bottom applications Icon on the homescreen as soon as I open the flip.
I don't see why Orange had to spoil the phone like this, and then not include the option to customise it. Amatuers!

Thanks for the starts guys.

I tried tracker and didn't really get on with it. As you said, it seems that there are a few conflicts!

I'm having a go at Handy Day right now. It seems pretty reasonable, if only I could get it to autostart! Pressing the internet button is a bit of a drag, but not too bad. I'd like to sort that though.

Reading through things, is it possible to reprogram the buttons that appear on the handyday main screen too? I guess it's done wih these plugins, but I have no idea how to create them (yet!). Certainly the skins function in this app is very nice indeed!

Keep 'em comin boys, and if i get anywhere, I'll let you know!

Do a search with "Orange", "homescreen", "remove".

Or, if you're too lazy, just click on the link below. Make sure you read the whole thread.

Having sman installed will also come in handy.

SE desktop takes priority - effectively getting rid of the Orange homescreen. In Shortcuts mode it will do what you require.
