Is it possible to video call between the networks? So far I have been unable to connect to a friend of mine who is on O2 and has a 3G phone. I am on vodafone with a V800.

Maybe theres no agreement between both networks to make video calls at the moment, same as we have here in SA.

That would be extremely annoying given that it was explicitly promised at the point of sale that it is not a problem.
Can anyone in the UK confirm this?

There are agreements with 3, Orange, 02 and Vodafone.
However Video calling is still in its ealry stages and is not gauranteed to work.
The networks are still increasing there capacity to take the network calls over from 1 to a other.
What phones are you both using?
Have you spoken to either Voda / 02 regrding the problem

V800 on Vodafone and Samsung z107 on O2. I think it could be a configuration issue with the phoen on O2 that they are lookign into now so finger crossed it may be easily solvable.

Make sure they are both in a 3G area and that the phone is connected to the 3G network

I have discovered that the problem was with the muppets at Carphone warehouse or O2 who when they sold the 3 G phone with the 3G price plan then sent out a GSM sim card....Idiots.
