I want internet connection trough my pc ... on my phone (sony ericsson k500i)
something like this:
internet ==> computer ==> Phone
and not like this:
internet --> gprs ==> phone

can i make a tcp/ip connection with irda at my k500i ?

It is possible if you can dial APN and IP together from your PC and not only APN as in normal GPRS connection This message was posted from a T68i

It is certainly possible, but not easy!

It only works with JAVA programs such as Webviewer over a serial link (not USB) to your PC.

I have done it over Bluetooth or IR on a Z800i, should also work with K500 over IR.
