> SE second quarter report :-(
Bookmark topic
Althou the company directors try to calm the shareholders, the value dropped by another 0.38euro cent after worse then expected results for the second quarter.Net profits dropped well bellow the 100m dollar mark and by almost 30%year on year. I personaly expected a bad quarter after the first one(look at my posting a month ago !) but not quite like this. Sells and revenue is marginally up,but no where near the market trend ! When the profits drop to around 50m euro major restructuring will have to take place otherwise this may be the begining of the end :-( Greetings from South Africa. Mario (news from http://uk.wap.yahoo.com/raw?XL=J1Rw&LL=/Q/hqhWgq/929/mRmJg.N4F&sd=L8vwdMP&oEie=t6mXBF1BKH1aDoRmq1sR)

Good Morning Mario. There is already a thread on this. You just love to see SE doing bad, you're such a doom merchant (in the nicest possible way:-)) . Most of the reports I have read in the last few days have been very upbeat. Market share actually increased by a full 1% , and this with only 2 phones released in the 2nd half of the last quarter K750, K600. That is outstanding! Lighten up you rascal! And get rid of that brick. . . :-D

Where did you get the 1% market share buddy. Harsh words you have for a old man. I don't hate/dislike nobody.I am just trying to make a few bucks out of cell companies my friend.Nokia's shares went from just under 12 to just under 15euro in the last few months.I hope SE will do just as well if this is your wish. I guess you are young and still have lots to learn. The SE spokeman sad something about market share increase but when asked about details, did not give any numbers :-( I only like the compani which brings me profits thru shares. Unfortunately SE has'nt been one of them this year. Greetings from South Africa. Mario

Not meant to be harsh Mario, at all. Although most of the reports I have read have been optimistic about the coming months. Se has increased market share to 7% with only 2 handsets released. (various sources, try the BBC) There are still some strong products on the way and the most recent releases are still to have an impact. Don't worry, you'll make your buck

EDIT: here is the
info on Market Share.
