Hi all,

Just got a problem with my k700i (uk). A friend is trying to send a MMS from her 7270, I recieve the icon to say new message (with the little picture icon) but when I got to view it, it says 'communication error try again later'. For your info im on Vodafone, she is on o2, like i said she is sending from a 7270.

I have recieved pic messages from other people plenty of times so the settings should be ok.

I wonder whether she should try and size down her pictures to 320x240, would this help?

Or can she send her pics another way to my phone-i'm not familiar with the 7270.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks Guys
Dave

Dave, if you're in a bit of a rush to get the info from her why not have her mms it to your email addy, then you could download it from there? In a pinch a gala.net addy always works, and it's easy to set up as well. This message was posted from a Nokia

Cheers Kryptik,

Yeah I have done that, she mms'ed it to my email address and i can view the pic from my pc ok here at work - this is a good temporary measure but I really need to be able to view it on my phone at as i'm not online there at the mo.

I think this problem can be sorted out by your network provider, if you explain the problem. This message was posted from a WAP device

Ok Guys, here's the latest,

I took the phone this lunch to 2 seperate vodafone shops in manchester. First one tried to send an mms to my phone and it said the same thing, communication error, he said the phone was faulty and I should take it back (not good).

The 2nd shop tried to send me pic message (from a different phone, think it was a sharp) and it worked no problem.

None of this really helps as both guys were obviously on vodafone, it leads me to think that it may be the mms settings on her phone? Maybe I should try and take it to a O2 shop and let them try to send me an mms.

Hmm, I will keep you updated!

Cheers
