Get Oggplay and use .ogg files instead of mp3. It is free and ogg file take roughly half the space than mp3s do. Encode at 64 Kbps using an ogg converter. There are many free ones. Search this thread for an oggplay skin called oggaudioplayer and use it. It's the best. That should get you started.

Or get PowerMP3...it supports mp3 and ogg formats, has a 10band graphic equalizer and sounds super....graph eq only wotks with mp3 though....but if you have a 1gig stick, space sure aint a problem

Mrao - have you tried Ogg Play and if so how does it compare to your recommendation?

Powermp3 is pretty good in my opinion... just a little slow. Loading playlists can take ages. The EQ is a plus... if only it worked with ogg. A 1 Gig card(like mine) will hold a good bit of mp3s, but having twice as many oggs on there sure does offer alot more selection. Right now I have 276 songs on my MSduo and it takes up 548.8 mb of space. Plenty of room left over for a movie or two and lots more.

Ive tried Ogg Play and find Power MP3 to be equally good.....The equalizer for MP3, gives it an edge over Ogg Play though

Unreal is an excellent app with good sound quality, unfortunately it doesn't play ogg if that is what you are looking for.

I am probably going to switch to PowerMP3 soon. I tested it a while back and it was good. I am hoping the developer changed all the things he promised to change way back then.
