Hi I have searched and I can't see see that this has been posted before. I see some people have asked. On my p910 I just type in the number and press send, then end the call once it starts ringing. It then asks "save to contacts" Yes brings up the name dialog. A second benefit is if the number is from a person you are with it checks you have the correct number.

or switch "ask for saveing number" in phone-> preferences and the type the number, pres dial -> 1 sec later hang up and the phone will ask you "should i save the number?"
