I've come to the conclusion I need one of those fold-up Bluetooth keyboards for processing large docs on my P910i.

Can anyone recommend a particular model and/or supplier?

Also: Am I correct to assume that the P910i can only handle one BT connection at a time? Ie, I can't use both a BT keyboard and a BT headset at the same time? Or am I talking nonsense?

I think people have had good luck with the Think Outside bluetooth keyboard.

And you are incorrect. You can have multiple bluetooth connections open at once on the P910. I have had my P910 connected to my computer and a headset any times and I have heard reports of having more connections.

I have the think outside and it works great with my P910. Pairing and using the keyboard is very easy. However, I have not had success with connecting the bluetooth headset and keyboard at the same time, mind you that I have not tried very hard so there might be a way to do it.

The thing I don't like about it is that you can only use it to type/input text. That's about it. With the Nokia keyboard and its series 60 device, you can use the keyboard to navigate through the menu's. In other words, I find that I have to use the stylus and keyboard at the same time to type and than us the stylus to do the rest. That's a big pain.

However, if you just need it to write large amounts of text than by all means it is a great tool.

I've got the Freedom bluetooth keyboard, absolutely no trouble setting it up, & you can program hotkeys to launch programs & navigate menus. Highly recommended!
https://www.directmobileaccessories.co.uk £50, runs on 2 AAA batteries.
It was only delivered today, I'm still playing As was my P910!

Just looking at the pic at the link you posted -- does the stand for the phone allow it to be tilted upwards so that the screen faces the typist? Looks like the phone's lying flat as shown!

Also -- out of interest, why does the directmobileaccessories site ask you to specify up front which specific phone/PDA you plan to use with the keyboard?

Cheers.

You wont go wrong with the ThinkOutside BT keyboard. Excellent tactile keys, and the shortcut keys work great too

@scormie
I'm a bit late now, sorry 'bout that!
The freedom keyboard is compatible with any symbian phone & pocket pc's. It has a stand at the back which lets you sit the phone/pda at any angle.
I sound as though I'm advertising this, apologies! I'm just very impressed with it.

@teamster1975:

Thanks for getting back anyway. It does seem that, on paper, there's not much if anything to choose between the Freedom keyboard and the ThinkOutside one -- apart from the Freedom being £30 cheaper!

Guess I'm just following the herd
