Please can someone explain what a WAP Push is.
I have two Sony Ericsson T610's on the T-Mobile Network. Within the last month, they have received ringtones separately - they are two separate lines. I have deleted them both for fear they are viruses.
What does WAP Push mean?
How did one of these WAP Pushes come through when one of the phones was off?
Are they dangerous?
Thanks.

Not dangerous at all. It is just message sent by operator or service providers via wap, possiblly for advertising.

Not necessarily just links...wap push is basically text content sent by your network provider over a wap connection...its not harmless at all...and you have the option of turning it off...
