This is what I get when I try out the SEUS to see if there is new firmware out, Unlocked & Unbranded K750i bought on O2 PAYG from CPW.

We look forward to assisting you again soon.
Thank you for using the Sony Ericsson Update Service!
Now does this simply mean no new firmware or that O2 won't allow me to update through SEUS?

Nope I don't think you can get O2 updates through SEUS. All branded handsets tend to be touch and go with it.

I was able to use the system and i too am on o2, so has many others on this forum. Mine is a phone from o2 themselves with minimal branding so that might make a difference to having an unbranded phone

I think :es: may be constantly shifting the goalposts as far as using its SEUS. It's getting harder and harder to get what you want from it.

I've got a couple of K750i's - one unbranded from Hong Kong and another from O2 online. CDA info as follows:
O2 : CDA 102338/16 R14A cxc 125953 R1L002 EUROPE_2
Unbranded : CDA 102337/101 R4A cxc 125953 R1L002 APAC_1
Maybe certain CDA's aren't allowed to update online?

It just means that the operator hasn't approved their version of the firmware for release on the update service.
I had some troubles with this on a K700i a lil while ago and rang

about it, the operators have to sign off on there versions being released to SEUS which can cause delays.
There's always a service center if you really need to.
