Is anything needed to run these (game) programs/files on the P910i or is it a case of simply installing them as applications?

Took me a few days to figure this out, you just install them as normal applications.
Go Start Menu -> Programs -> SonyEricsson -> P910i (or whatever phone you have) -> Install Software (make sure the phone is already connected)
Then point it at the .jar file in question and off you go!

or you can just beam the file to your phone via bluetooth or IR and then just run it to install it. simple as that
