> T630 charging problem - Firmware reflash?
Bookmark topic
Hi,
My T630 has stopped charging. I've tried a couple of chargers and none work... nothing happens, battery symbol doesn't change and phone doesn't charge. The battery is ok 'cause it charges in my old T610. Carfonewarehouse thinks that a firmware re-flash may fix it, however it's out of warentee.
Is flashing the firmware going to fix it? Where can i get this done (in London)? Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Cheers,
Robert

It could be dirty contacts or a problem with the contacts on the charging port, try cleaning them with something like a toothbrush and see if that makes a difference. Another option is to buy a desktop charger and spare battery (can be bought fairly cheaply off Ebay) and charge one battery in the desktop charger whilst using the other one.

perhaps buy some pcb cleaner and spray a little on the bottom of the phone and the connectors for the battery (on the phone)
has the phone ever been near water?
are you sure the battery dosnt charge in the phone even though it says it dosnt?
i doubt flashing would fix it.

It should not be a software problem anyway.
