Hey all, I hope someone can help me with this.
I've got a brand new P910 (I've actually had it for 4 months and just never used it)
I noticed the bluetooth had a problem.
So I decided to give it a nice update.
Now when you go to the update process, it asks you switch off the phone, then place it in the dock.
When I do, i tries to switch on automatically then go to the charging screen, but then switches off and tries to switch on to normal mode, and it's an endless cycle.
Any advice?

well, as many people know I'm a rush rush person.
One master reset and leaving the battery out for 5 mins later.
It's sorted.

It's the first time I've ever seen the light flash Orange..... Anyway, here is what I did

I think the culprit was SMAN.
But then I removed the charger from the dock and replaced it with the original charger that came with it (rather than the V800) and it worked fine.
Must be a fault charger i guess or alot of fluke coincidences.

Can I assume that SMan was not the culprit?

It's supposed to be slow the few minutes after the firmware update.
Didn't you read the text that appeared on the screen on the end of the firmware update?
It says a background task will be running to ensure a propper backup (or something similar, don't remember)

Hmm...I have SMan on my p910....and while everything else seems to be okay...the "Reboot" option on the SMan menu is greyed out....all other modules in Sman seem to be working fine.......So whats the consensus...is it okay to keep it or should it be uninstalled

The reboot is grayed on p910's because it's no need for it. It was possible to use it in some sman 1.4 betas, but ajack and droll took it out because its a lot faster just turning the p910 off and on, unlike the p900 where it is faster making a reboot with sman than turning off and then on.... That's why the reboot option isn't available in sman on p910's...
