> Upgrade from K700i to K750i worth it?
Bookmark topic
I'm currently using a K700i and it's serving me quite well. Is it worth it to upgrade to K750i? Besides the nicer camera, screen and expandable memory, are there any other reasons to upgrade?

I am currently thinking along the same lines. My K700 still feels new after 1yr or so. The only big reason why I'd want to upgrade to the K750 is the Cam and expandable memory. The K700 also looks and feels better (less plasticy). As I am on a company plan at work I may have no choice but to upgrade to a K750 anyway.

Definitely.....if you are due for an upgrade....the k750i is a big improvemnet ovee the succesful k700i, and not just in the cam & expandable memory department

It has a 262k color screen, so your images viewed on the screen would be much more vivd than on the k700...When i handled a k750i a few days ago, I felt that the menus were much faster & smoother than on the k700...the joystick seems to be more responsive..

Besides the points you mentioned, I can only come up with the ability to flash the phone with the w800i firmware, which will give it the much, much better walkman media player. Also depends on wether you like the keypad circle or not, that's a matter of individual taste of course.

I disagree - the K750 is only marginally better than the K700.
You cant compare the K700 to the K750 as you can compare the T68 to the T610, even though the both superceeding models are 12 months apart from the model they replace.
The T610 was 100% better than the T68, while the K750 is only 40% better than the K700 (if not less).

Hell yes it is. I've gone from t68i to t610 to k700 and now this and whilst other jumps have been more epic i am most pleased with this one. This is because features have hit a level that satisfy. Finally a camera on a phone that is useful. Finally a decent battery time. Finally mp3 ringtones and finally an se phone thats easy to connect to a pc without buying any extras. God i love this phone.

I wouldn't consider an upgrade from VGA to 2 Megapixel and from a fixed 41MB to expandable memory marginal.

There are some nice changes from K700 to K750, if they are important enough for you to upgrade, only you can answer.
Camera is finally really good and really usefull for a mobilephone
Expandable memory is fantastic in terms of storing music and videos mainly and of cource plenty of room for taking pictures.
Video can now play full screen
Menu is improved
You can now use both mp3 and aac/mp4 as ringtones
You now have user customizable messagetones using mp3
the contactbook has been increased from 500 to 2000
The sms storage has been increased fro 100 to 210
The screen now has more colors, but I find the K700 screen so good, that this change isnt that important, but still.
You now get an USB cable in the box for fast and easy connection and updating.
It may not be quantum leaps, but I find the changes significant and well worth the upgrade. The K750 is a great litle phone.

One of the major improvements for me other than those already mentioned has to be the fact the K750i can do more.
The phone now supports Java apps that can access Bluetooth - great for bluejacking or using Bluetooth chat apps. Java apps can now be minimised, whilst you do something else on the phone such as make a call, write a SMS or even surf the web.
The inclusion of the activities button almost turns the K750i into a smartphone. Customisable icons and bookmarks can all be access quickly from anywhere in the phone now, without having to go all the way back to the standby screen.
Lastly, a huge improvement for me has to be Bluetooth v2.0. Now the K750i has the fastest, most up to date Bluetooth on the market. Whenever you search for another phone or device, it shows up almost instantly, and displays the other phones name instantly. Great for bluejacking, or great for simply wanting to connect to another device. Also, when sending something, the phone now sends as fast as my PC, so a 2mb video file is copied to another phone much faster than before. You also get a progress meter showing a xxxKB / xxxKB, so you know exactly how much of the file is left to go, instead of simply seeing a crap progress bar.
