> Update Service Fails

I've been trying to update my P910 for the last week without success.
The "Sony Ericsson Update Service 1.43" dialog pops up and asks me to turn off the phone. Then it starts and shuts down the phone automatically.
But then, when the actual update should start, it shows the error:
"Error in communication with device"
I've tried everything I could think off, disabling anti-virus, disabling firewall ...
But the error is "communicating with device", not with internet!
I even decreased the speed of COM to 9600.
What can this mean?
I never ever had a problem syncronizing or making backups!
Any ideas?

I so use a DSS-25. It's standard with P910.

Just to say - I just finished updating my phone!
It worked !!
What did I did?
Well... I DON'T KNOW.
I tried so many things at the same time !!
One clue: Wait a few seconds before pressing the next/ok in the dialogs of the wizard.
I think (not sure!!!) I was doing the steps too fast, and the phone could not keep up !!
Just one lazy theory ....
PS: Yes, (before you ask), the phone seems much faster!

Quote:Yes, (before you ask), the phone seems much faster! That's absolutely natural after erasing all the accumulated
sh@t by the reflash. The same would happen if you downgraded your phone to R1A, and the speed increase does not characterize the firmware version at all. Old trivia again.

@zol
I know that, I even made a system reset once and installed everything from scratch just because of the speed incread (and was great!)
Anyway, the firmware notes were nor released, so you don't know what you are talking about.
To think that the programmers never optimized the OS/UIQ code since the first release is not realistic. I'm a programmer, I know.
