Hi there.
I have just bought a P900 off of ebay, and it has the same problem with the touchscreen. I can't get to the Master reset option just with the jog dial. Is there another way to hard reset the P900? Thanks.

Come on. There has to be something out there other than expensive repair shop.

It's a long shot, but you could remove the front cover and check that the screen connector hasn't come partially unplugged? Especially as the touch function has gone altogether.
It's fairly easy, I've just changed a P900 screen.
Remove flip
Remove 4 screws on the back of phone; 2 under battery, other 2 under blanking tabs which are stuck on.
Run your thumb nail around the edge of the casing, it will unclip. Careful here, it is easy to mark the case, hence using my nail!
Fold the screen to the right; the connector is under the main PCB.
Remove 2 screws from shield plate.
You can now shift the PCB; be careful, the jogdial connector is on the left & pops off very easily. Just lift the board enough on the right to check the screen connector is fully seated!

I had the same problem recently, a P900 screen i changed wouldnt work with touch functionality - and it was fully plugged in.
I sent the screen back for a replacement, yet to receive another.
