CAn anyone tell me ho to convert some thing like a AVI movie into 3gp or something so i can watch them on my phone???

you need to use some software such as Nero Recode 2, Mpegable x4 live, or ImTOO convertors.

If you need any help or information on these programs just ask, also try searching google for ImTOO then downloading the trial version to test it out. If you need any of the settings just post your phone model, screen size and i will try to help you as much as possible.

Well i've never encoding something that big before

I have encoded a 70mb file at excellent quality and it came out as 40mb so i'm guessing 700mb AVI >>> 400mb .mp4 (3GP) file,so thats still pretty big. By the way, you can of course try it yourself but get a small 10mb file to test the program on because the quality is good but i don't think i could watch a full movie on it. Just experiment and if you need the basic settings just ask and i will post them here for you.

P.S. What phone are you going to be using it with?

Well i don't actually use ImTOO anymore because i bought NERO 6 + Recode 2 which are amazing but also expensive.

I will search around for the settings that you shoud use for K750i (amazing phone - i use it also

)

Otherwise if you send me a small file to my e-mail (PM me for it) then i will convert it to show you the quality you can expect to see

With ImTOO it says i can only rip about 5 minutes from a DVD, but it doesn't work:S...

Isn't there a site or anything where i can download already encoded movies???

And with NEro, can i get a Trial of that or isn't that availeble???

What mind of movies do you want, also if you see any Windows Media or AVI movies that are about 10mb in size let me know and i will encode them for you and send it you to try. Just the quality is not perfect so you can see what you think.

Movies like euhh 8-Mile, movies that are in movietheatres that i downloaded:P...

That's what i want, i have al sorts of AVI movies and want to watch them on my phone, hope it's possible, but i don't think i will be able to convert them myself, i don't know how to do that sort of stuff...

Ok then, maybe you should buy a portable DVD player then

Just that i don't really find the video quality of mobilephones to be good enough to watch a 2hr movie on.
