> memory stick pro duo fails

i bought a memorystick pro duo of 256 mb. i can take pictures etc. but when i try to connect to my pc it says that i've connected an unknown device. nothing i can do with the card...
the original of 64 mb worked well!
it's an original sony card...
do i need to format anything or what do i need to do to make this thing work??

An original Sony msd will always be of higher quality and reliability than another mfg. no matter what anybody else will tell you.
To help you out, try formatting it in your phone and/or in a Sony digital camera. Powerdown the device, when ejecting the msd.
