Every time I attempt to synchronise contacts with my P910i,it takes hours to get the process initialised, and I have seen that process is not completed even in hours, and I am forced to abandon the process inbetween. What is time period for synchronising contacts.

It should be less than a minute for all the synchronisation.

If you use outlook 2003, then a security box will pop up for you to allow access to Outlook for a certain amount of time - this can sometimes be hidded behind other windows. If you don't click this nothing will happen

Otherwise, check your sync settings, and or reinstall SE Sync software

It depends also on the number of contacts. There r a few options too, otherwise it might double the contacts on ur phone like it did on mine. This message was posted from a WAP device

Hi Guys, I'm havinv problem connecting my P910 to my PC, I can see the icon Phone Connection Link at the low right corner, when I right click and select Properties, I can see that USB is connected but when I click Change Phone, there is nothing there, no phone is detected even if I already placed my phone in the cradle. When I select Syn Settings, it prompts me that No phone is detected. I've been trying for the last 3 days but still not successful.

I would appreciate if you could extend your help to me.

Thanks in advance.

I have had more connection issues with the 910 than I ever got with the 900.

Most common is after installing new software to the phone, somethimes I will get a message saying 'phone is disconnected' part way through the install, other times after the install the phone is not detected and I have to reboot the PC. Other times it just randomly will not detect the phone and I have to switch off and on (not just restart) the PC

If a reboot does not sort your detection problem out, then reinstall the SE sync software with the latest version.

Also make sure that the correct com port is ticked in the properties box of the 'phone connection link' in the system tray

Hi _dg, Thanks!

I have done a lot restarting and off to my PC but still the same problem, I just bought this phone so I don't know if I have the latest version of the software, it says below the CD R3A. How to know what is the correct com? The USB(cradle) is at com5 which says Connected, so I presume that USB cradle is connected.

I have exactly the same problem; a never ending initialization process when I attempt to sync contacts between P910i and Outlook 03. If I just sync the calendar that works fine so I assume it is to do with the quantity of data being synced?

Perhaps the 10 minutes max timeout in Outlook 03 is the problem; is there any way it can be changed to a longer period of time?

I've tried messing around with Sync settings but it doesn't make any difference. Anyone had the same problem and managed to overcome it?

I solved this problem a few minutes ago.
Yesterday my contacts refused to get synked.
Everything else synked just fine, but the contacts just hung.
So I deleted all contacts in the phone, both SIM and Phone and synked them again, and then it worked.

Bad news is that I had some pictures linked on some contacs and I was forced to update this, and all contact-folders was lost.
