hello, i am just wondering which one is the more popular brand in the european country, nokia or sonyericsson?

Definitely Nokia even if I do not like to admit that. But good thing is that soon (I feel) SonyEricsson will take over the popularity polls in Europe.

Definately Nokia (at this time) but every day Sony Ericsson are getting more customers from what I can see so far both companies are producing excellent quality phones.

From what i know european figures are different from worldwide... Siemens has the leadership in europe for 2001 with 29% while nokia follows with 27%. Ericsson was third with 20% although its worldwide share is a minimal 5.2%

Loonee, I think it will be better for you to roam on SFR network in France. I used them when I was there and there coverage/sound quality was definitely better than Bouygtel and Orange
