Hi all,

Could someone please show me how to get my options button back again. For some reason when I press it now, 7 comes up on the screen. I have gone through and also removed all of my speed dials but to no avail! Any help would be great.

Pls cleaify. Option as in flip closed mode ? 'cause there is no option in flip open. In some other thread I read 'bout d touch screen selecting d option above d 1 touched. Just calibrating d screen took care of that prob. So I think u should try that. & If its in d flip closed mode then my guess is a hardware prob & d s/c need to be contacted.

Flip is closed. Its the button to the top right, with the square on it.

It could be the screws holding the flip on may have come slightly loose. Try tightening them slightly to see if that makes any difference.

If this doesn't work, it could be the keypad is either on it's last legs, or that needs taking apart and giving a good clean (though I'm not sure how to do this!).

Try virtual flip in c/panel filp removed. If it still selects 7 when u touch option on the virtual flip then its a s/w prob. Or else its ure flip that need some service.

my option key is rather slow, i have to press it relatively hard to get it to pop up the option menu.
i think it's been squished a few times, might be your problem as well. i guess some contacts are busted/shorted. you might want to try to get a replacement flip. maybe try to swap it with a friend first, then order one from SE or ebay.

Ive found if I now push button in a upward motion rather hard it will bring up the menu with "Turn on keylock" etc.

If I lightly press it then 7 comes up. How do I go about cleaning those buttons, is it just like a keyboard where I can take off the keys, clean and then snap them back in?
