Apple today introduced the Mighty Mouse, its next generation mouse which offers power users up to four independently programmable buttons, without compromising simplicity for users who prefer just a single-button mouse. Mighty Mouse also introduces a new Scroll Ball that lets users scroll in any direction-vertically, horizontally and even diagonally. With the Scroll Ball, users can scroll with natural, fluid movements, making Mighty Mouse perfect for applications from viewing Web pages and photographs, to video editing and music creation. Mighty Mouse is priced at £35 or $49

From about 5 minutes ago. I just ordered one from the Apple Store. Phoned them up and I was the first person in the UK to order!!
Says free shipping on the online Apple Store, but when I added it to my basket it added £4.50 for shipping. Phoned Apple up and did the order over the phone instead and got the free shipping!
Cool!

Yes, it works on PCs.
"System Requirements: Mac OS X (programmability requires Mac OS X v10.4.2 Tiger or later), or Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
Mighty Mouse is also compatible with PCs. Mighty Mouse uses the standard, multibutton mouse driver included in the Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems and plugs into any USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 port.
Apple have been producing a Bluetooth Wireless Mouse (and keyboard) for ages...
Another interesting nugget of information:
"Mighty Mouse even sounds as good as it feels. The audio feedback built into Mighty Mouse provides an aural sensation that responds to your movements. A tiny speaker inside Mighty Mouse produces button-clicking and Scroll Ball-rolling sound effects."
