Kazzy: If with Windows OS, would deleting/ disable ALL firewall entries from Autoexe / MSconfig help ? So that the thing doesn't load at startup (if somehow missed)

Maybe someone could shed more light on this 'mrouterunner' and how it hinders..

Oh I see....@kazz...I think you should uninstall the PC Suite completely...and then perform a fresh installation.....By the way, dont you have the sync station that comes with the P910i....why are you using a USB cable????

Thanks mrao.

Yes I have tried uninstalling and re-installing PC Suite more than once now and no joy.

..and yes I do have the sync station that comes with the phone but it is a USB connection on the lead from it which is what I meant when I said connected by USB.

OKie...kazzy...i faced a similar issue with a P900 .....here's what I did

1) Reinstalled PC Suite and SEMC sync station and drivers
2) Checked connection properties for com port # used by sync station
3) Enabled the com port in the "Phone Monitor" options ( Phone monitor would be in the control panel)
4) On phone...go to control panel>connections>cable>set option to PC connect
5) place phone on sync station

and wheeeee....it connected and stayed connected

Thanks again mrao

Anyway....I tried everything you said but it still won't work

I contacted someone tonight who I know sorted a similar problem with the same phone on someone elses computer but he wants to charge me £20 and I think that is a bit steep. Especially when he could probably just e-mail me what I need to do or something like that. He says he wants to come round to my house, and that it may take him an hour or more to sort Surely this can't be the case.

Anyway, I'm now back to square one...or am I being too tight not paying for this guys help? :-S
