I had exactly the same stripes and blue lines with R1A. I have taken many pics with each firmware and have noticed no differance at all between them, apart from now I have smaller file sizes.

I think the reason for the changes in compresson/quality has to do with processing power and storage speed. A better (larger) file takes longer to save thats probably why se lowered the image quality. And therefore its not given that the "problem" will go away with new fw. Thanks for all the information. But if I understand Cloysterpete5 right, there have always been low light stripes. So improvement might not be in sight.

About two weeks ago i started to get these lines. Not just in low light. The auto focus would also make a screaming noise and the phones screen would flicker different colours. The lines were also there when i used the flash attachment. I took my k750 into my nearest repairer and they re installed the firmware and did a full reset. My phone has been great ever since with no lines at all in the pictures. Just need to find all the original content that the phone should have on it. This message was posted from a WAP device

hmmm, it does sound like it's not a firmware issue as such. I get the white lines but can avoid it by playing with the settings. Personally I think the auto white balance control on the K750 is up the duff.

For example I took an indoor pic under incandescent lighting that was perfect on the "incandescent" setting, but the same shot when on auto setting came out as if it was set to "fleuroscent".

I have gotten really ugly stripes that look more like "scratches" when I had taken picture in low-light situations. You can play around a little bit with the white balance settings, etc. But I guess a better solution is to buy the accesory flash...

I've played more and can definitely get rid of the white lines by ensuring there is enough light - by using the light and/or night mode you can eliminate them.
