I tried version 2.0. It would only select songs that were located in the directory mentioned above: Documents\\Media files\Audio\ on the internal or \Media files\Audio\ on the stick, and even then it would only go down one subdirectory into \unfiled\ and ignore any subdirectory in that one. Ogg-files that I placed in \unfiled\ got picked up without a problem.

I'd love to try newer versions, but I left my time machine in my other universe.

PS: I only use Oggies, which I code from my CDs. The only MP3 files I have are the ones that came with the Pee (and, occasionally, one recorded radio show that I like that can only be downloaded as MP3)

sorry pal, but i dont have this problem, all my files are in audioartisttrack.mp3 etc you cant have them in audiounfiledartisttrack.mp3 this doesnt work even on the inbuilt version.

PowerMP3 Definately beats any player out there!

Ironically, what you described works perfectly in Oggplayer.

I use the inbuilt player only occasionally with downloaded MP3 recordings from a talkradioshow, so I have no experience with how it handles playlists (from what I remember from my "Pee-playing hours" months ago, it's shite anyway.

what you described it sounds like your putting your folders inside the unfilled folder u need 2 put em inside the audio folder! there shouldnt be a problem and v2.0 is the latest,

Hi,

I DO NOT have this issue either. I have multiple sub folders in MSD Pro 1GBmedia filesaudio and thus far I already created 5 playlists out of 5 different sub folders. I now hoped to see future versions of PowerMP3 supports EQ for Ogg and AAC and yes, playlist support for selecting songs through multiple sub folders like W800i

Cheers

I've uninstalled it now, but I think version 2.0 does support the equalizer for Oggies. At least, it appeared when I pushed the button, the sliders moved and I could select presets. I didn't have the earphones on, so I couldn't really hear much (if any) difference. Besides, it was ACDC, which is purportedly immune to any equalizer.

This may surprise you, but that was actually one of the first things I tried.

It didn't work...

PS: Out of curiosity, your name does ring a bell, but I can't seem to place. Have you ever been active in the Psion scene of yore?

seems like it is time for me to upgrade from my crummy old version of PowerMP3.

What exactly changed since 1.4?

Hi, these are the changes I know with version 2.0

Version 2.0 solves the previous backlight issues, improves sound quality (supports variable bit rates MP3 too) and adds in much more.

1) Native AAC/MA4 files support for ALL Px00 phones, including P800 and P900 (but without EQ as yet)
2) The Hands Free button support: When playback is interupted, eg, by a Reminder alarm tone, just press Hands Free button to start playing again.
3) During playback, press Hands Free button to automatically switch to the next song in the playlist. If in Randomised mode, a press on the Handsfree Button will auto jump to the next Random song. Yes, all these can be done even when your phone is keylocked!

The above spells an almost complete handsfree solution, without the trouble to take out the phone from your pocket, bag, etc every now and then, and this really allows you to fully enjoy your favourite music with little or not interruption.
