I doubt there's any 1 manufacturer which releases totally bug-free phones... Yet when one considers the vast number of threads here related to problems with various models it makes one think... I'm certain that had this been a Nokia or Samsung site the same would apply to them, in all truth.

I think it doesnt matter whether it is hardware or user-induced faults. Even if users complain he has problem with UI/software, then the fault still lies with the programmer/designer (i.e. a quality issue).
I disagree. If the user can't actually do what he is trying to do he may simply put it down to being a fault, whethe rit is a fault or not. Not everyone is as clued up about mobiles as we are and what we may take for granted others may very well find difficult.
How many of these 'faults' are simple human error based on a lack of knowledge or incompetence? How many are the result of users damaging their phones, but blaming the phone for not being tough enough e.g. water damage, dropping it, etc?
As I said before, in my experience no manufacturer is any worse than another. Individual handsets may have bad reputations, but I can't say that I consider any manufacturer to be vastly superior to another.

I blame this on the ammount of feature's and technology and the software updates needed to support em.
SE make the best phones

I have to disagree with you on this, but I think that it's not a suprise for you. The simple thing is that if average Joe doesn't know how use some feature the UI is not intuitive enough. I agree that it's not a fault, but it's a bad desing. Manufacturers should really put some effort to the usability.

Your point is only valid to a certain extent. How many of those reporting faults had switched from one manufacturer to another? Someone who has long used Samsung handsets, for exmaple, may have difficulty in operating a Motorola. Since both Nokia and Samsung are very popular brands in the UK, where this survey was carried out, one should expect people to be more familiar with their UI.
I have been predominantly using SE handsets for the past four years and I am very familiar with their UI. My father recently bought a Nokia 8800 and asked me to setup e-mail on it for him. After having floundered with the UI for several minutes I ende dup calling O2 to ask them for advice. The UI wasn't very intuitive from my perspective because I wasn't used to it.
SE's UI seems perfectly intuitive to me, whilst Nokia's seems to be rather awkward in places. It's ubjective. Nokia sell the most mobiles in the UK so people will be more fmailiar with their UI, if they switch to another brand they may have difficulty in adapting.

Very true....in fact, most folks who have been accustomed to the Nokia interface for some time , usually find it difficult to adapt to that by another manufacturer...and label the UI as un-user-frindly as compared to a Nokia. Personally having used

for a lonnng time, i find the UI on my P910 quite intuitive and much more user friendly than the Series 60....but im pretty sure that the reverse may have applied if Id been using Nokia for as long as Ive been using

what statistics show is by what just another term for a so called theory, all phones are run via mechanical/hardware/software which tend to succumb via any unknown means at any time.
True to every phone model out there regardless of branding. However, point here on stated in this statement is durability wise & functionality which was always lead by /// ever since.

i have had my SE K700i for a while now and i have never had a single problem with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! right now my boyfriend has it because i got a razor and a pda, but i like my SE K700i way better than either one that im using now. i truely love SE phones. everytime that i buy any other brand the phone programing just sucks. for example i have had the razor (moto v3) for 16 hours and it's already froze up on me 3 times. people just dont know how to use a good phone when they get it, so they mess with everything on it and....obviously it messes the phone up. on who ever ships the phone to them drops it or doesnt handle it with care. i dont believe that it's SE's fault.
