its doing my head in.
the date today is 18th september, so i recon il phone them on saturday the 24th. might as well give it a try, it isnt the complete end of the month but still, not far off.

o2 Customer service is a joke. Once, I phoned them up out of interest, (i'm on orange), and they claimed 'sorry we're evacuating the building' call back tomorrow. 1 minute later, called back, got the same woman, "Hello sir. how may I help?" OMG.

I spoke to O2 upgrades today, the w800i is back in stock as of yesterday (Monday afternoon), ordered mine although the woman at the other end tried to persuade me to order anything but... I guess they have limited stock.

Comon guys...you have to realise that everyone who's eligable for an upgrade is looking for either the W800i or the 8800 - which incidently are both in VERY short supply. I work for one of the networks but everywhere's the same right now, not just O2. Same thing happened with the K750i remember? I had to wait at least 1 1/2 months after it had been released before I got mine.

Hi again, sorry to get your hopes up, but after ringing (and successfully ordering) my w800i yesterday, they now tell me it's out of stock again!
I think they over-allocated their stock yesterday afternoon and when it came to actually despatching this morning they couldn't fulfill a lot of their orders! However I've been assured that I'll be first to get one when the next batch comes in...
whenever that may be.

damnit, i'll have to wait and see, but i assume i'll get the same result as you.
however, interestingly, when i rang up to tell them i knew it was in stock (i dont quite trust them if i simply ask), the operator said "it's just come in this morning", so either that's an o2 lie, or they've had some more today so yours should be ok to arrive soon.

sorry, didnt see that, but i'm with o2 online already, so i'm just going to have to wait and see on this one. o2 might give out good renewal offers, but really, we shouldn't be conned into saving money at the expense of the service we get generally. unfortunately no matter how bad they get (and this isn't referring to the w800 situ, i realise this is not necessarily their fault) i cant really afford to start up a new "30 contract elsewhere...
