> iPod Nano screen scratch problem ?
Bookmark topic
well just to compare the iPod Nano to the Sony NW-HD5
the Nano has a colour screen and is half the weight of the HD5 but.....
iPod Nano
90 x 40 x 7 mm
Sony HD5
90 x 56 x 14 mm
Twice as thick yet roughly the same size!!
Yet the Sony has a 20Gb HDD and the Nano only has up to 4Gb
Then theres the battery life. Sony has put up to 40 hours into theirs
Then theres the durabilty. the sony's Magnesium Alloy is strong light and almost scratch proof.

It could still be all over the ipod regardless of it's click wheel or these latest problems with the nano. People are finally realising that there are much better players out there at more reasonable prices. Fashions change, and that's about the only thing that the ipod series had going for it, it was seen as a fashion accessory.

I've never had any trouble with my Shuffle, and it's taken some abuse, but my friend got a Nano recently and within days it was scratched, and she treats it with utmost care, its really more of a geeky fad gadget than an mp3 player. Its not really suitable for everyday use.

well it would be quite difficult to damage a shuffle's screen

its a shame liked the look of the nano and was interested in getting one, dont think ill bother now.
its a shame that the aac format is hard for other manufacturers to put in there machines as mp3 just dont cut the mustard with me at anything below 192kbps and realisitcally they should be around 320 for a decent sound.
but ill keep looking and seeing if any prices drop or if any other maker get aac on there players
