Honestly, I am more after the looks of the fone and not it's specs cause I don't utilize those after all. I don't like the "Rubik's Cube" shell style of the Nokia 3250

With this, I guess I will opt for the K750i here and not even the W800i fits my taste !

mib, agree any symbian based os will have alternatives for playing just about any codec that someone bothers to write a decoder for.
This is of course the advantage of smartphones, and why eventually they will become the norm.
Personally I stick with mainstream encoding technologies like aac and mp3, simply to get longetivity out of conversions. I'm not one to re-rip my whole music collection just because a new super duper codec comes out (reason I haven't bothered with ogg). All kudos to audiophiles who do, but I'm not that fussy myself.
Now that I use my phone as music player I have started to convert to AAC. In my view, if a phone or hardware based player also supports aac, then it is atleast better than 90% of mp3 players that only support mp3, so to me the fact W800/K750 support aac makes them relatively advanced music players.
Real and wma are inferior proprietary codecs and I see no problem with a device not supporting them. Using dbpoweramp it is very very easy (and free) to rip hours of music from wma or real to aac or mp3.

Speaking of 'light'

Which one has the 'lighter' price

Amongst the three: Nokia 3250,

K750i and the

W800i

@max_wedge:
agree with you that K750/W800 supported media format are sufficient for a music player. Only deficiencies I can see are the video and streaming format support, which should not matter to K750/W800 users because watching video on K750/W800 smallish screen just dont cut it.
i think it would be unfair (to you) to ask you to defend the K750/W800 purely on functionalities against the 3250 smartphone when hardware specs of both phones are similar.
To someone who place high priority on functionalities (like myself), 3250, or for a matter of fact any Series60 smartphhone, will always win by default. It is not that K750/W800 is no good but there is just too far behind to put up a decent fight (from functionality point of view).
But then again, not everyone understands or needs a smartphone or needs more functions. Some value forms/brands over brains (not that I am saying 3250 is lousy looking, in fact I think it is quite decent looking). It just boils down to individual preferences.

I agree with MIB, when it comes down to Java vs Symbian, it's a no-brainer. As for its mass, a few grams either way is irrelevant. It's all about personal choice. Let's wait till a comparative test can be done. I, for one, doubt that the camera will be as good as SE...

@bondie - So your fone is more expensive than mine

I agree . . .

But I have a feeling that the Nokia 3250's introductory price in the market will only level with that of the K750i.
