Excellent remedy, putting the note before the repeat.

I think putting a note at the start shouldn't affect it too much.

Here is a 'fixed' version of Heartbeat...

BEGIN:IMELODY
VERSION:1.2
FORMAT:CLASS1.0
NAME:Heartbeat 101
COMPOSER:Jeffrey Nonhoff-Zieg
BEAT:56
VOLUME:V10
MELODY:V1*7b5(ledonvibeonvibeonvibeonvibeonvibeonledoffvibeoffr5ledonvibeonvibeonvibeonledoffvibeoffr2@101)
END:IMELODY

I think its OK. Since the extra note is outside the repeat. I don't think it spoils it too much.

@Ro: Feel free to modify Heartbeat 101 as you like, but please don't say you composed it because you didn't - I did! Thanks

As Jison pointed out, the silent melodies work fine as long as vibrate mode is set to "off" or "on if silent".

Sorry Jeffrey it was me that posted the modified version of the Heartbeat ringtone and I just cut and pasted without thinking.

Regarding silent melodies, I think you will find that on some versions of the firmware they will not work even if you have vibrate turned 'off' or set to 'on if silent'. That was the whole reason for this discussion in the first place. So far the only workaround solution we have come up with (or rather Ro came up with) is to put a very short very quiet note into the melody. This seems to work well.

Sorry about the author issue.

I tried turning off the vibro, to no avail. I'll just have to stick with the modified version.

@Ro: No prob Ro, I appreciate you fixing the "silence" issue.

@Digithed: Thanks, actually the version you posted did have my name...

So I guess it is a firmware issue... You can see my version in my sig.

Funny, in other threads people have been asking about what is new or fixed in version R2F0004. Nobody has any answers.

Looks like we may have found the answer, or at least one of them!
