I had a T610 b4 the p910i and i couldnt go back to a non-smartphone again. I thought of trying a Nokia series 60s but again,i dont like it it has no touchscreen. I wwny out and bought a Phillips for my ma (the 750 which has a touch screen) but didnt like it cuz it lacks verstility of the p series. I am gonna buy the next P for sure. Slow?Which one?I find it perfect and i am always in hurry!

Well, I face a similar dilemma. My contracts up soon, I'm looking to get a new phone and I don't mind changing my number.
Like you, I don't fancy the P990, it's too far away and I find the features less than impressive but I can't do without a keypad. So as I see it, it's going to have to be a a K-Jam or JasJar!
There's no way I could ever go back to a non-smartphone, or more specifically a non-keypad smartphone having used the P910

Cycovision, I know what you mean. The keyboard is a big part of why I don't know if I can leave the P-series. But I don't really care for the K-Jam or JasJar...or Windows Mobile for that matter. I like the P-series because the "PHONE" part is the primary focus rather than PDA. It would be touch adjusting to not having the QWERTY keyboard. Maybe

will have a big surprise and come out with a completely new design of phone like a Walkman with a sliding keyboard or something good? But I guess that would be too perfect...

I once did and regretted it. No non-smartphone will satisfy the geek in me. I have since switched back to Symbian, and I'm very satisfied

Used S700 -> used P910 -> USE S700
The comparision though would be biased.
A Smartphone is a smartphone. And P910 at that, has most things.
Touchphone, Keypad combo.
Yet, I prefer the single hand operation of normall phones.
Otherwise, P910 was / is okay in the interface & ease of use.
Though not upto mark with Windows Mobile based phones and the recent spate of phones with more Nertworking, Media options.

@mrao, precisely why I think most that left the Pseries will return. All the new phones have quality photo ability like the K750 and with the new UIQ3; its assumed 1 handed operations will be close for most routine functions (sms/mms/phone calls/photos/reviewing Notes,Calendar,ToDo); but movies and data entry full-open naked P990i style.

I chang from P900 to 8850 then to 6230b then to 6630 now back to P910i realising what a mistake for me going to a Nokia Smart Phone.
Basically Nokia is only good on a normal Call / SMS only phone other high end like a smart phone... Nokia is not up to it yet.

Normally, I would have let that pass, since I do not want to start another Nokia controversy. But your statement is simply not true.
While I have used Series 60 phones and can confirm that they are good, they do not meet my needs in terms of functionality. But they meet the needs of many others who are perfectly satisfied with them.
When I needed to upgrade ealier this year, my choice was Series 80 (9500) because UIQ just didn't offer the type of functionality I needed. With my experience on the 9500, Nokia is certainly good with its communicators.
At the end of the day, its really all about what you need.
