I hope this doesnt sound stupid...but what about the joystick problems....i am a kind of guy who likes thumbing with his phone a lot...Playing games, wap-ing... I ve had no problems with the nokias and samsungs that i have used till now (none of them had a joystick)... Ive always had the impression that a joystick makes the phone kind of delicate...How far does it apply in case of the 750i ?? This message was posted from a Nokia

I dont think it does. But the joystick is far more responsive and feels more sturdy than on the k700. So, no worries there. This message was posted from a K750

What is the logic behind giving a joystick? Nokia and samsung do not have such counters....is it in all se phones?? Seems kind of odd... This message was posted from a Nokia

I think it used to be a feature on some of the earlier se phones, but i can saw from my experience of this phone that the joystick is not a concern area at all. This message was posted from a K750

the joystick counter simply counted the number of joystick movements, like a trip meter for your joystick. It never "ran out". The problem with joysticks on the K700 was that it was physically unreliable after "excessive" use. Basically SE under-estimated how much more the joystick would be used on a phone like the K700 and didn't design it sturdy enough. These issues have been more or less addressed with the K750 (it is definitely a more sturdy joystick than the K700)

My K700 joystick only started to scrub out after 18months of use (12 months od solid use). It still works quite well, but can be unresponsive at times. It is only a concern in games.

Considering I've destroyed keyboards from "excessive use" in games like Mech Warrior, I'd say the K700 did well to last as well as it did with the way I play games (I'm hard on equipment that way - bash bash bash away at the controls)

Other factors to consider - is umts an appeal? in which case look at the W900. Also, if you can't afford a reasonable sized ms duo aftermarket, then the W900 has 470MB user free internal memory.

The W800 only has 38MB internal, but comes with a 512MB MS Duo Pro card, and the HPM-70 handsfree with standard 3.5mm output socket (as does the W900). The W800 also has flight mode, in which the phones gsm radio is turned off, but you can still use the camera and mediaplayer.

Reportedly, the W800 buttons have a more solid feel, and the case doesn't squeak the way the K750 does.

The K750 is cheaper but has standard handsfree (no 3.5mm jack, but this can be purchased aftermarket) and only a 64MB card. It also has the activity button, which offers improved interface functionality compared to the W800, although the task switching features of the activity button can all be performed on the W800, it's just less intuitive.
