well its good to heard vanquish finally has something that makes him happy. However I'll give it 2 weeks, no wait, 10 days, before I'll be expecting some whinging thread about this one too
I've had a w550 for a couple of days before returning and reaffirming that the walkman style really isn't my cuppa tea.
I should hope the 1.3 MP camera is better than the V800's given that this is now a year later (you can see sample v800 pics in
my review from last year) and I would assume they are not as good as the 2MP ones taken by the K750. Actually, if it wasn't for the fantastic pics taken by by Sony T1, which is really tiny, I would be using the K750 as my main digital camera.
if you're into swivel phones (I'm not, never got into the S700 thing at all) and like the walkman style then the W550 is a good SE phone for sure and it does sound like this was a bargain!

Why do you call a phone terrible after one person has posted up a photo taken with it?
This phone is certainly a fashion phone. you have to enjoy using it and i do, i like the design, screen features. The camera is fine for on the phone, i would never even use a phone for a proper digicam anyways, that would be breaking my 'rule'!

In regards to the 1.3Mp camera, picture quality is largely down to the user being competent at taking photos.

my wife just got her w550 on friday and is very pleased with it.got it for £220@carphonewarehouse sim free.an absolute bargain.the ui is just like my k750.when using the walkman function on the external speaker it is like a mini boom box,very loud,one of the loudest phones i have heard.the disc 2 phone software is very handy,select tracks+bitrate,then send!a great wee phone for the price.
