guess its depend on your operator, how they hadle it. as i know, its possible to make a new contract without buyinga fone ( actually here in austria it is so ), but in the uk?

wat usually happens wen ur contract expires is it carries on. a month to month basis, all u gotta do is give a months notice to cancel it, then open a new one weith the p990, u can keep ur no., all operators let u

@lotus. Recently, in the UK, operators are giving the option of keeping your old phone And getting a discount on your monthly bill when your contract runs out. I want to know if you can still get a discount on, for say, a new P990 if you choose to upgrade 3 months into your new contract. I don't think that'll work. Looking at it from their perspective, they have you committed for a year, so they aren't going to subsidise the phone price; they loose money from deals like that. Unfortunately, unless you are a VERY high user, most if not all providers will not upgrade you until 9+ months through your contract

I'm genuinely interested in the jasJar but the size is a major turn off. What's it like to make calls with? Do you use a BT headset?? I simply can't imagine holding it up to my ear in public! Cannot argue with the features tho....best on the market in those terms.

personally, I'd get the p910 now, like it has already been mentioned I think the p990 will take an age to come out on orange etc, let's say April or May. It won't be that much of a hardship to have to make do with the p910 for another 6 months while your contract runs out!! especially if you have a digital camera other than your P910. 0.3MP sucks.
Also, by the time you do get the p990 there will be lots of decent software available - I hope!
