what i know that in some country like hong kong and singapore already launched p800 2 or 3 months ago. I have spoken to one of the technical people who work in ericsson factory, malaysia that they have not given instruction to produce this p800. however.... good news for all bluetooth headset user....... upgrade of bluetooth headset software is now available for upgrade for model hbh-10. and for hbh-15, 20 and 30. the software will be available to upgrade within a week too. i am really looking for my hbh-30 upgrade~~~

That's true but isn't Symbian OS7 itself new, i.e. it has not been deployed in a real device and the P800 will be the first? I think this is what they meant, not that OS7 was a change to the spec.
It's inevitable that as phones become more complex they will take longer to develop, the problem in this case is announcing it far too early and getting expectations up.

wrong thread there mate
but anyway..... only servicepoints can update the headsets (same procedure as for updating a phone)... the updates improves the functionality of the headset which may result in lower battery consumption

Don't care where ever the P800 is being manufactured. I just hope that
release it soon and make some money to release better handsets in the future and also enable themselves to put on a fight to Nokia.

I am a singaporean who is waiting for p800. I can assure you that Singapore has not launched p800. As for Hong Kong, I didn't hear anything.

I think all you who are waiting for p800 should be very patient!! I remember when the sw upgrade for t68m was to come! There was a lot rumors and different answers to when it was supposed to come. But there was early one swedish guy from SE who said it would not come before the beginning of the summer. Nobody believed him because it was too long time!
But he was right in the end......
We are lucky if we see p800 before january!!! Believe me!!

Hmmm, if we don't see the phone in Europe before 2003,
will be lucky to see any buyers!! There will be embryonic 3G networks in the UK by then, and spending upwards of 600 euro on a new 2.5G handset won't be at the top of my todo list
