i use master reset after update new firmware ! Befor that i beckup all data for easy restoring :)

@ Foxhunter:

You should reinstall your programs after a Master Reset. Some application settings might be lost.

I have done a mr before getting a new firmware update. This way I know that the phone still worked and did not have any additional stuff that might cause trouble.
