A couple of question:

1) If you send a file using right click, send to... as Max said... where does it go? Phone / Stick memory? Which folder?

2) If you send more than one file... do you have to confirm for every one of them? I know there are some issues in the latest firmware for this function, but since I never tried it in R1L002... how does it work? Do I have to say "yes, yes, yes..." for each of them?

Thanks

When you send via bluetooth, the phone knows where the file needs to go. If it is a game, the phone will prompt you to install it. If it is a wallpaper it will go to pictures, a theme will go to the theme folder and ringtones go to the sounds folder, etc.

in r1n you can enable bluetooth permissions for a device to allways allow, meaning just send and forget

On R1L and earlier you need to prompt each transfer. When just sending a game or two, or a theme (which is what I use BT for) it's not a hassle.

If I'm still too lazy to put the cable in, and I have only about 10 themes or something like that to transfer (not mp3's and such) then I'll boot up "My Phone Explorer" ( http://members.aon.at/fwechsel/ ) and use it. With My Phone Explorer you can transfer batches of files without being prompted at all by the phone (regardless of firmware). "My Phone Explorer" uses the serial connection via bluetooth (so you set it up with the com port that the bluetooth stack gives your phone)

a memory stick reader really is an investment with a w800i atm with the data cable corruption.

I just use bluetooth as an easy way of transferring games and themes.

Oh, nice Wedge... so if I send using MPExplorer I won't be prompted (maybe one time only)? And will the phone still put the files where they belong doing it that way?

Does this also works with FMA?

Thanks

it won't prompt at all, but you will have to tell it where to put them.

So you browse into either the phone or memory stick folder (depending if you want to copy to the phone or memory stick). Then you open the MSSEMCMedia files folder.

In there are:

audio
image
other
theme
video
webpage

Their meanings are obvious (ringtones = audio for example)

If you want to install a game this way, copy it to the "other" folder. Then using the phone go into the other folder and select the game file. The phone will then ask if you want to install the game. If you say yes it will install to the phones memory, so you can delete the game file from the other folder, or just leave it there if you want to send it to other peeps phones so they can install it as well.
