Hi T-Shirt,

which version are you using? Version 2.0 offically supports AAC/M4A audio. I own PowerMP3 and have been listening to only AAC/M4A audio since version 2.0.

Here is the direct link for downloading a trial:

http://shop.my-symbian.com/Pl[....]d=0&catalog=20&topSectionId=-1

If you are still having issues with your AAC/M4A files with version 2.0, then I suggest you send an email attaching a sample of your file to the developer for help. His response is fast and will definitely help you sort it out.

Cheers

@ adnhk1:

I tried that trial version (PowerMP3 v2.0). How can you add an M4A song into to playlist or how to play that file?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi T-Shirt,

on the trial download page there is a download link for the user manual. Here is the direct link:

http://www.lanfactory.ru/PowerMP3/PMP3_Manual_v2_0.pdf

Hope this helps. If you still face issues with playing back your AAC/M4A files. Just send a sample file to the developer and he will be able to sort out your issues.

Cheers

@ adnhk1:

Thanks a lot for your help and for the link to PowerMP3 manual, I really appreciate your effort.

BTW, in the manual I found no specific solution to my problem with PowerMP3 which is unable to load/play an M4A file.

BTW, my PowerMP3 has just developed another problem on my P900. It suddently terminated with an error message saying something corrupt. Then any other application on my P900 won't run and say the similar error message. That's really strange for me...

I'm thinking of uninstalling PowerMP3 and look for another player which hopefully support AAC songs (M4A files).

Thanks for everyone that has support me with PowerMP3.

Cheers,

T-Shirt @ W3A

Hi T-Shirt,

not to be flaming anyone, but this seems to be the 3rd time I have advised you to email the developers a sample file for them to sort out your issues. Apologies but we can only advise this much. The email address has been placed above. If you intend to playback AAC/M4A files, then PowerMP3 is your only choice for UIQ platform currently.

Strangely, your issue sounded very familiar... seems to be a common issue with a previous leaked beta 2.0... This leaked beta 2.0 does comes with the "corrupted" issues mentioned by you with some AAC/M4A files.

Are you sure you are using the latest trial version of PowerMP3 2.0? If so, then email the developers your sample AAC/M4A file...

Cheers

I thought I'd bring this thread back to life to tell you that I've just tested the next release of PowerMP3, and it is something to look forward too.

I've had a lenghty email conversation with the programmer, and he is very receptive regarding my suggestions, something I find VERY positive and a BIG plus in favor of this program.

The new version will support EQ on all file-types, and there's a new EQ preset management that allows you to define EQ settings down to a per file level, and have the EQ loaded automatically when you play a file.

You can now also set the thread priority of the app, so if you are not using other programs on the phone (which would cause the sound to break up when set at low priority) you can set the priority lower and save batteri power. You can also disable the Frequency analyzer display to save power.

Also the app now supports sub-folders for better organizing your songs.

I'm talking with the programmer about some further enhancements to make it easier to load songs and playlists, but I'm not sure if they'll make it into this version - but definately into the next.

All in all, if you need a good music player for your P-series - get PowerMP3, it's already the best program out there in my opinion, and soon it will be even better.

cheers
Peter
