Yes, in R1N it works, but Max_Wedge says that he can do it in R1L establishing a COM-Virtual link over bluetooth, which, on one hand, makes sense since it acts like a normal COM connection; but on the other, it would work as overriding phone security if it didn't ask for confirmation, plus the phone 'knows' it's a virtual COM and not a cable-COM.
Question to users who upgraded the firmware... does the phone asks once for all the batch of files, or it doesn't even ask?
I was hoping it didn't even ask!!

I'm very surprised, since none of my bluetooth phones have ever asked for confirmation when using the serial port emulation with programs like fma, myphoneexplorer etc.
That includes a T610, two K700's, three K750's (my sis and bro-in-law's handsets) and a moto v525.
The three K750's are on R1L002 firmware. Two of them are vodafone branded (not mine thank christ).
I can also browse the phone file system via bluetooth dongle using "my bluetooth places", and drag and drop files without confirmation requests.

have done it on both W2k and XP. Both my DLink and new Belkin dongle (freebie replacement from belkin for the previous one that never worked properly) also both work fine.
What dongle are you using, and what software ie: native xp or the bluetooth dongle supplied software? If bluetooth dongle software, is it widcomm, or some other?

I don't know the brand of the dongle (can't remember), it was something like BT-XXXX or something (being the X's the model number). It's class 1 (100M), and I don't think that the phone asking for confirmation would have something to do with the dongle itself!
I tried XP native, BlueSoleil and Widcomm; all without success.

Hey Dan good news for you. I'm a bit embarrassed but I think I've worked out what's going on!!
The only bluetooth transfers I've been doing lately are "send to" where I've just been sending files by right clicking them and sending via bluetooth, this of course asks for confirmation (on the K700 also)
I haven't actually used MyPhoneExplorer for a while since I've got used to the cable, and I had got myself mixed up over when I actually did do the transfers without confirmation, and I think it was all on my K700, NOT the K750.
So I did a bunch of testing, and sure enough when copying batches of files to the K700 there is no confirmation, but when copying to the K750 it prompts for confirmation everytime. I tried five different versions of MPE, bluetooth dongle obex file explorer, K700Dateimanager and fma. They all ask for confirmation.
I'm sorry I lead you astray man, believe me I don't usually dribble shit without checking out the facts but this time I made up for usually being anal about the facts.

(I was so sure I'd tried it with the K750 and found it to work. The only other thing is to try my sis's vodafone K750 maybe it was that one that I'd tried, but honestly I don't see why the voda one would work but not an unbranded)
I owe ya dude. Want some custom themes designed? Just let me know what you are after. Infact any phone content you want let me know and I'll hunt it down for ya.
I'm really pissed actually (now I understand your frustration) since the K700 this works fine but with the K750 they've gone and fcuked it.
Now I have to really consider upgrading to R1N and hoping I don't get the usb cable transfer bug.....damn what a bind. I suppose I should just wait. I have two cables, one at home and one at work so I can use cable most of the time I guess.
Again very sorry for being a complete dickhead

Well... you really drove me mad pal believing I was some kind of loony who couldn't make it work...
But it's OK; these things happen, don't you worry about it!
Now... wouldn't it be nice having the R1A008 and send batches of files without even being asked...? It'd be great! But the risk may prove even 'greater'....
