I have the same problem.. it won't connect to my PC. Port 6100 is open (both UDP and TCP) for the PC's IP-address. The OS is Windows2003Server.
I'm using Tele2Comviq network in Sweden.

Have you installed the server component on your PC and started it before connecting from the phone? Don't forget also to put xxx:6100 at the end of the address line in the corresponding box in the program's window in the phone

Hi guakamole,
Yeah, I've installed the PC client also. I'm also trying to connect to the test server with no luck. I think I may be a little closer to discovering the problem. When I configured my phone as a bluetooth modem for my PC, I am able to connect by dialling *99***1# as normal. I get connected, and I am assigned a new IP address, and I see I have a new default gateway IP and new DNS server IP's. However, even though I'm connected, I am unable to access any web pages, or ping an IP address. The strange part though is that I can connect to the internet via Opera Mini on my phone and I can browse the internet with no problem at all. I only have one data account on the phone, so that isn't the issue. Very weird.
For info, when connected via 02 GPRS on my PC, I got the following addresses :
IP address 10.250.155.70
Gateway 10.250.155.70
DNS 193.113.200.200
DNS 193.113.200.201

Finally got this application to work using these settings. I have to say, it's very impressive. Quite fiddly on the small K750i screen of course, but if you HAVE to get on your PC whilst you're out and about, this does the job.
O2 GPRS settings (Email/Web):
APN address: mobile.o2.co.uk
Username: mobileweb
Password: password
I was originally using:
O2 GPRS settings (WAP)
APN address: wap.o2.co.uk
Username : o2wap
Password: password
