I remember on my old nokia it was used as part of the phone security, if you switched it on, so that you couldn't change any of the barring/diverts or delete the phone book without the PIN2 code. On most UK networks the default is 12345.

I've set it on my but I've never needed to use it yet...

Cytechs the man...its as he says...used for things like fixed dialing...it varies on each network as to what the code is just like pin1...the 12345 referred to in the prev post is phone lock code, different thing altogether... This post was posted from a T68i

tariff settings will only work if your provider uses them.... and if they use them the use them to keep track of prepaid balances... and in that case you wont get it for obvious reasons i have my pin2/puk2 as i work for my provider... and you can use it for absolutely nothing....
