In GPRS, every telecom sucks. Airtel and Orange are the leaders of the plunder-the-GPRS subscribers-resolution in India. This message was posted from a K700i

Well in providin GPRS services AirTel has to improve a lot, both in reducin tariffs and in improvin speed. Well, atleast here in kerala! When comin to speed issues I think SNAILS mov faster than this!!!!

well folks. though i would like to join you guys in bashing airtel, methinks it would be unfair as i have got a reasonably good service from airtel. i have been using prepaid for the past 5 years now. and let me tell you guys prepaid rocks! i have used it all over the world even in vague place like Finland, Russia where airtel has tie ups. even in south and north america, far east, etc. as far as coverage is concerned i think they are good (this may sound one sided as i have never tried the other networks)
now gprs - i use the net-on-phone for prepaid services. i do have problems accessing my yahoomail sometimes. it could be my handset's fault too. though it works with sifymail. and i can browse quite a lot of useful sites too. i tried to open my ICICI demat account too but have not been successful, i think ICICI does not provide access via pdas and smartphones.
but i sure would like to know how to get some games for my p910i.

I really must say this- in India, consumers are not into GPRS.Which is why service providers like Hutch & Airtel can keep such exorbitant prices, unfair download limits & blockages of competent sites AND get away with it.For 6 months or nearer,ORANGE kept blocking sites & each of their customer care people kept telling different excuses like it being a server problem or a sw problem or congestion in the network, etc. They lied officially for 6 mnth b4 admitting that they blocked sites & THEY GOT AWAY WITH IT!
