I purchased an item from an esato member that advertised an ebay link to an item through esato last week. I didnt actually purchase it from ebay.

i think it is ok if the seller is allowing to buy it now off ebay early
but i also see a point in what you are saying about it being annoying, and i think that putting 'ebay' in the title will help the consumer when he comes to search for items in the for sale section...

nice to read all your comments! as i satated originally i am not as bothered about sales where there is a buy-it-now option or the user states that they are open to offers from people on esato. It is the threads that are started purely to advertise an auction the the person has no intention of ending early or offering any advantage/incentive to people buying from esato. links in people's sigs don't bother me as these don't clogg up the forum and don't trick me into thinkin a phone is available for sale here on esato!
also as others have said i agree that the sim card situation is ridiculous. It has made it much more difficult to find genuine accessories and i tend to dissregard the accessories market in general now. and i am sick of people tryin to flog-off free sims they have got as 'gold' and 'platinum' numbers! i don't think i have seen any that are genuinely gold or platinum
would be nice to hear the views of some moderators and/or laffen, give us some feedback on their point of view and any action that may or may not be taken.

maybe... we should create an OFFICIAL EBAYTHREAD and post strictly ebay links.
infact... i am going to PM one of the mods about this and see what i can do. hopefully keeping it out of the MPFZ

i think ebay threads should just be banned unless they offer a buy-it0now price to people from the forum. why should laffen and esato pay for people to advertise their ebay sales. I would however very much like to see a seperate section setup in the market for sim cards. As i believe they are not really an accessory!

Thats not such a bad idea...anything that would keep ebay links out of market place would be a good idea....I think you should PM Laffen as he is only one who has the power to change anything.

Would never work, sellers would always want maximum exposure, the only way i think would be to have a mobile-related ebay sales forum in the market section...
