Never had any real problems myself, but I know lots of peeps who have. You've just gotta be careful, and use a bit of common sense.

Seems like everywhere I go there's a complaint about Nigerians. Is there anyone out there who has had good and positive dealings with Nigerians?...... Please?.....Anyone?
sorry mate, but i guess when you write on the ad "will ship to uk only", you see a UK winning bidder, you receive an email afterwards telling you it a present for a priest in Nigeria, and they will pay you western union (when you specify paypal only) immediatly its shipped, and THEN they get $hitty about you not wanting to complete the deal, then no, I don't have any positive word to say about dealing with Nigerians on ebay. All it does is waste peoples time, and give ebay (and decent Nigerians) a bad name. And I know it's not exclusively Nigeria. My bad Amazon experience was actually with Romanians.......
You must also realise, that pretty much everyone I know has at some point recieved these dodgy "hi, I'm a Nigerian prince and I have $6million to give you if.........". As I say, it's nothing personal, it just turns everyone off. Bigstylie.

I bought my P900 off Ebay, but it was from a person with high feedback.
The worst two things that could happen are that they take your money and don't send it (if the account has been hacked), or that they send you it then report it stolen after a few months (if they are an idiot) so they can claim a new one on insurance.

Best thing is to...
-Check feedback
-Buy expensive purchases from long-term members whom have more than 15-20 feedback (95%)
-Check what they have sold before, anything simular
-DO NOT sell to Nigerians, sorry but I am not offending Nigerians but there is just way too many scammers from there. I too have got scammed so I now know what not to do
-Make sure they keep you updated on delivery process, etc
-Use common sense...the sellers who sell in lots, usually a minimum of say (X) units are suspicious, thier accounts could have been hacked.

I also work on the rule that if you are not sure if it is safe listing then dont bid. So far I havent really had any problems buying or selling on ebay. I have had a couple of none paying bidders in the 2 years that I have been on ebay but that will always happen.

I've been using ebay for over a year now and its great, the only problems I've come accross are with buyers who take ages to pay, apart from that I have complete trust in sellers.
