it was late last night and i tried everything that people offered for suggestions.

i uninstalled everything, and only installed the drivers for the flash memory, USB, it worked only once but afterwards it still wasnt visable in "My Computer" like it was before the reformat, i was unable to see the icon of a removable drive, and also in my device manager it still had the yellow question marks.

heres a thought.... my phone is a D750i, but my computer sees it as a W800, was it wrong of me to download the D750i USB file? is there any difference in the USB flash file from the W800i to the D750i?

K750, D750 and W800 all use the same USB driver and they all have the same hardware underneath. Try connecting it to a separate PC and see whether it works on that.

I haven't done a 750 - 800 conversion so don't know but:

These are the USB drivers for the 800...

Flash update drivers are for all D750 K750 and W800

this one's easy.

just right click the yellow exclamation on sony ericsson in the device manager and select update driver. put the disk in the drive and let it search auto on the disk or select install from a list or specific location and hit next. then tick the "Include this location in the search" box and browse to the driver files that you downloaded. Then it will install the drivers. If it tells you that your pc will blow up or something bad will happen cos they arent digitally signed, hit the continue anyway button and go on your merry way.

Get this one alllll the time.
