I think if you un-screw stuff it voids the warranty, so if in future you have to get the phone repaired for whatever reason, and if they can find that the case has been opened by someone (non SE-certified engineer), they may deny repairing any warranty-covered faults.
Not sure about that, but just a hunch *shrugs shoulders*
