They'd be very poorly advised to reduces their phone prices afterall
makes margins that most other phone manufacutuers can only dream about and this all helps to put money back into R&D and higher quality manufacturing and parts.
strategy has typically been to focus on the high margin premium end of the market and this has helped to give them the high quality reputation they have.
Besides from a purely snobbish point of view I also like the fact that in general you pay a premium for
phones - gives them more of an air of exclusivity.

They like to keep discrete...if they revealed who they were,members would be bombarding them with questions about upcoming phones ect..so its understandable.

I know one member on here who works for SanDisk. Also noticed the "Are you sick of your K750/W800 joystick yet?" Now the W810 has no joystick.
